We trapped DIDI and two of her kittens (EDDIE & EVA) in Woodbury, CT on 7.3.2023.

EDDIE & EVA are part of DIDI's second outside litter.  One kitten had been hit by a car on the busy road that DIDI crossed on a daily basis as she traveled to the homes of people that were feeding her and her family, and with the 4th of July the next day, the pressure was on.

DIDI is not feral. We consider her semi-feral, on ly because she will not yet let us pet her.  BUT...she loves living indoors and has totally claimed residence in her foster home.

She is always around, underfoot, demanding food, and vocalizing her needs to her foster parents. She gets along with the other 11 cats in the home, especially ALIKI's kitten PITA, who is very bold, and is not one bit afraid of the 50 lb pit bull mix.

DIDI is very talkative.  If you function too slowly for her needs she will be sure to yell at you to hurry up.

Feeding DIDI is the fastest way to her heart, and her foster mom has succeeded in delivering a few little chin scritchies while feeding her dinner or a churu.

Like we said, DIDI loves to eat!

The best home for DIDI would be one with no little kids. Cats and dogs are fine as long as they are accepting of new animals. She needs people who are patient and kind, and won't care if they can't touch her right away.  It may only take a few months, or it may take a year.  We feel like she's totally on the brink because she sees all the other cats getting petted and she's standing right there waiting her turn, but so far she's only brave enough to sniff her foster mom's hand if food isn't involved.

Her favorite things (aside from eating) are laying on the couch, laying on the poofy chair, or laying on a big dog bed in front of the pellet stove.  She has no idea that she has claimed the best bed for the cold winter months because the stove isn't on yet...

Are you the type of person who can give DIDI a chance?  She deserves one. She's a nice cat with a funny personality, and we know in the right home her personality will shine once she. trusts you.

Please submit an online application to adopt a cat if you can be that special someone for DIDI.  She is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and negative for feline aids (FIV) and leukemia (FeLV).
