Meet BELLA!
BELLA was rescued by a Good Samaritan who knew she deserved far more than the life she had been living. From the moment she arrived, she’s been proving to everyone that she is true royalty.
BELLA quickly became a staff favorite at our vet. In her foster home, she shares her court with two other small dogs and does well with them. Cats? She gets along great with them. She has also lived with children and did well, although we are looking for an adoptive home that does not have young children.
BELLA’s favorite place in the entire world is draped across the back of the recliner above her foster mom’s head like the regal overseer she is. From this throne, she surveys her kingdom and keeps watch over her people.
BELLA can be a bit timid when she first meets new people. The key is to simply ignore her, and she'll realize you mean no harm.
BELLA loves to go for walks and hikes, and really needs someone who will walk her daily to burn off some of her energy.
She loves wandering her fenced yard, rides like a lady in the car, and would happily accompany you on any adventure. Above all else, BELLA is a world-class snuggler. A professional lap dog. A bedtime cuddler of the highest order. She prefers to sleep in bed with her humans and will happily melt into you for hours. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom all night long.
She is house trained as long as you take her out regularly, completely non-destructive, and waits patiently by the door for her people to return home.
BELLA weighs 18.8 libs. She is spayed, vaccinated, negative for heartworm and tick-born viruses.
We do not know BELLA's exact breed. Your guess is as good as ours and only a DNA test will give you the full breakdown. We have her listed as a Shiba Inu/Corgi mix because she has some Shiba facial features but when we view the dog lookup information on our iPhones, it always says Welsh Pembroke Corgi mix. She probably has some chihuahua in there too. Who knows? It doesn't really matter what her breed is, as long as you commit to loving her and keeping her safe for the rest of her days.
All she needs now is her forever castle... and a lap worthy of a queen.
